Level Best is owned and operated by Stuart McLean, a conscientious tradesman with a keen eye for detail and over 8 years experience in the building industry.
Stuart and his select team provide a high quality, reliable and friendly service, offering many aspects of the building trade from a simple skim to full property development. He also enjoys a good working relationship with various other local trades such as electricians and gas safe plumbers, and regularly organise and oversee these on behalf of customers.
Primarily trained as a plasterer, Stuart was immediately in high demand due to his dedicated work ethic and the high quality he achieves. This same level of quality is also demonstrated in other areas of his work such as carpentry, kitchen and bathroom fitting and decorating. This has earned him an excellent reputation in a relatively short time and his is proud that the majority of his work comes from previous customer referrals.
From the initial enquiry, Level Best' aim is to exceed your expectations and we take a great deal of pride in the excellent standard we maintain. We never take on more work than we can handle at any one time which means we can give your job the full attention it deserves.

Although Stuart has an excellent knowledge of all aspects of building work he specialises in the following areas
Plastering
All aspects of internal plastering undertaken including plastering from bare brick, dry lining, bonding and skimming
Decorating
From start to finish, stripping wallpaper, full prep, tape and jointing, painting, lining and wallpapering.
Kitchen Fitting
Removing the old and installing the new, a full
service including worktop and appliance fitting, tiling and decorating.
Bathroom Fitting
Full strip and fitting service. All wet plumbing undertaken, pumps, paneling, tiling and decorating.

I felt completely happy leaving Stuart in my house for several days to complete the tasks. He was clean and efficient, making sure that the house was not left as a 'building site' each night which I appreciated.
The finished result of the plastering, floor laying and general carpentry that I asked him to do was exceptional, with him going above and beyond what was expected in order to meet his standard.
I've already told him that the next house I buy, I will be getting him back down from the Lake District and he will be the only tradesman I use!
